Below you will find a copy of the email I sent out to parents and students. Welcome to the May-June 2022 session of Driver Education. This message is to inform you of the upcoming student and parent meetings in the CMR STEM building on Monday May 9th from 3:30-5pm for the students and 5-6pm for the parents. There are a few things you can bring with you if you choose:
What do you do if you are unable to locate your child's SSC and BC? If they were born in Montana, you can get another certified copy of the BC from the Treasurer's office downtown. If they were born outside of Montana, you will need to contact the correct officials in the state/country that they were born in. As far as the SSC, the last time I spoke with the Social Security Office, they were still out of the office and all working from home with all transactions needing to be completed online at https://www.ssa.gov/ . I will accept the receipt of the SSC transactions as long as it includes the Social Security number on the receipt. You will need these documents for the driver's license application, in order for the student to take the Learners License test. The DMV will also need these documents in order to get their driver's license. If you are unable to locate or acquire these documents by the time we administer the Learners License test, the student will need to take the test at the DMV once they have acquired the necessary documents. Students still stay in drivers ed class but they will only be able to drive with Mr. Hartman. Students will not be legal to drive with their parents until they have received their Learners License. I will go over the online platform for class on Monday at the meeting with both the parents and the students. If you need to reach me, the best way is by email. However, my other contact info is listed below along with Mr. Hartman's and my drivers ed websites. For now, what I need from you, is a working email for the student along with their name. This email should be one that they check often. I will use that email for a couple things:
